I'm just wondering if it's possible to use Ram as Temp folder instead of create it on HDD?
If it's technically possible it should increase the decompression speed.
Of course it may not work for an archiver too big...For an archive of 4Go you'll not use the Ram of a Pc equipped with only 256Mo ^^
The program should detect memory on your Pc and adapt it.
I think it's possible with a programming trick.
Now a lot of computer are equipped with at least 1Go and generally people have rarely an archive bigger than 1Gig.
I don't know how your and others archiver work.
Just an idea like many others...
