In no specific order
1) Ability to create 7zip archives with advanced compression options like 7zip
2) Use unrar.dll from RAR Labs because 7zip croaks on several multipart rar archives and so does jzip
3) Filetype icons, different icons for different archive types like iTunes does for music files with the extension of the music file on the icons
4) Cross platform support. Using QT from trolltech (http://trolltech.com/) would make this much easier
5) Merge with 7zip archiver to become a complete open source cross platform suite. 7zip is somewhat cross platform (if you count p7zip). I think the best thing for the 7zip format would be to a) merge with p7zip and focus on cross platform development b) adopt something like jzip as an official interface because the default one is inadequate.
