What is the difference between XP compress and Jzip's format?

The reason I ask is I set up a web site on MS Office Live, uploaded a Zip file, but when someone downloads the zip file they can't unzip it. It appears that MS screws up the zip file and puts under a sub folder or something.

thanks

May be the main difference between both is the compression process...but zip files are zip files.

May be you file is corrupted...re-compress it again or download it again. A bad download may sometimes corrupt an archive.

Dlyan, I tried several times, I even wrote MS Office Live. It seems they can't handle Zip files created unless you use XP compress or they corrupt the file on purpose. They suggested have my friends uninstall Winzip and other zip programs and use XP compress to extract the files.

I was hoping there was some setting I could use to make it work.
