If I pack a file with chinese characters in filename to a zip with jzip, filename is getting renamed. After unpacking it, it isn't the same filename than before.
I'm not able to attach original html file. Forum says "invalid file".
I added archive with that file, so it is already renamed.

There's also another problem with that chinese file:
If there is already a archive with that file and I want to add this file to that archive again, it creates a second file inside archive with same name!
If adding it a third time, there are three files inside archive with same name and so on...
If extracting that archive, it extracts first file and than asks if it should overwrite that file with second one.
So there must be a bug with handling of files with special characters.

Hey andreasm,
I want to try and reproduce these bugs, but i need to ask a few questions first:
1. What OS are you using, and is it English or Localized?
2. Is the OS configured to handle non-Unicode characters?
3. Have you installed support for additional languages?
Also, please include any additional information that you think is relevant and may help us reproduce the bug.
thanks!

1. using windows xp sp2 German at home , and windows xp sp3 german at work
2. How can I find that out?
3. I didn't install any additional languages. I saw that It's possible to install files for displaying asian and other complex languages over system control, but I can't read such characters. So it makes no sense to install them.

Hey andreasm,
in order for jZip to fully work with Chinese characters, you'll need to make sure that your OS is configured to properly display non-Unicode characters.
On XP, you'll find these settings on the control panel, under "regional and language options". Click on the 3rd tab, labeled "Advanced", then select "Chinese" from the drop down menu. Click "Apply" and "OK". You may need your XP installation disc, if the relevant files are not already located on the computer.
Once installed, you'll need to restart the computer.
After that, you should have no trouble working Chinese filenames.
Write back if you encounter further problems.
