Hi,
I have downloaded and tried jZip using a link on the 7zip website. It's a very simple looking but effective software, and I have decided to use it in place of WinRAR (which, I have been using for years!).
I used to do some development myself, and I would love to help you out in this project. I could beta-test interim releases, suggest features, suggest some implementation techniques as well (if you need them, that is!).
Please do let me know if I could help!
Best of luck!
Hasnain.

Thanks Hasnaim - I will send you a private message regarding this.

A few quick pointers...
1. When I select a single file in explorer and right click on it, jZip should use that file's name as the default archive name when I click "Add to Zip file". When I click multiple files in explorer and right click on them, jZip should use the level-up folder's name as the default archive name. This is pretty much standard behaviour, and is useful for cases in which I don't have write access to the media (CD, DVD, etc).
2. Full row select when viewing files in "Details" mode.

1. When selecting a single file jZip does use the file name for the default archive name, it's already this way today. When selecting multiple files - yeah that is a good idea for a fix.
2. Actually many software do not mark the whole row, we might just add an option for the user to decide how they like it better, full row or not.

actually - my mistake - when selecting multiple files jZip already uses the folder name as the default archive name.... if you right click and choose jZip it's the second option.

Yup, those are fixed. I actually was using the public release (1.0) when I posted them. In the preview beta, the file naming conventions have been fixed.
In terms of full row select, this is present as an option in most archivers. The reasoning behind this is that you might need to run through a large list of archive contents sorted on a parameter (size, path, etc.) and when you need to pick one of these, you'd double click on that parameter of that file.
Eg:
Name Size Path
File2.ext 88KB Filder\
File3.ext 87KB
...
If I want to select the file that is 88KB, I'd click on the 88Kb instead of the filename. Full row select helps here.

Yeap agree - we will add full row select to the next version.
