Newbie needs help

I've downloaded the izip software and installed it and it looks ok. Is there some where I can find instructions on how to compress the files? I've tried compressing a file but it doesn't seem to have worked, what am I doing wrong? Any help would be excellent. I did a search of the archives but everyone seems to know how to use the program except me and there is nothing to find about compression etc

Can you give some more details about what you did? When you say that compressing the file "did not seem to work" - what exactly do you mean? what results did you get or how did you determine it did not work? What kind if file are you compressing?

this is why I think a wizard would work really i kinda had some problem finding out how to zip/ compress something it just took me a little while to find out where the option was in the program

Actually there are tons of compression programs that don't have a wizard. I'm sticking to jzip because I prefer it.

As mentioned, I think an option should be prompted at the user when installing ,that way everyone could still use jZip as they prefer :).
