At my business, we recommend jZip to our users in place of Winzip, but the new default options are confusing them, and I think are a bit too invasive. Below listed are the items in order of response I have received. I think most should be disabled by default, but they are great features.
1. Enable webmail compression plugin. This is invasive in grabbing users files as they send them, and most users have no idea what this is. This should not be marketed to users who don't know what it is. If it must be on by default, a first use warning should at least notify them.
2. Include recommendation in archives. While a useful idea, this is a despicable practice. I personally do not want my archives to be modified transparently. The extra files should at least be visible in jZip gui. You know the adds in the footer of yahoo and hotmail emails, aren't they tacky and un-business like?
3. Desktop shortcut. No users ever use your desktop shortcut, and it serves no purpose anyway. What is this, 1990? Sorry to sound rude, but I feel strongly about it.
Here are some screenshots, for the readers who might be new to jZip.
