Hi All...

When I add a file to an archive by dragging and dropping it onto the archive file. The file is added, but I get no dialog for encryption. The file is added without encryption. Even if I have previously used encryption, so that it is my default when I drop the file on an open jZip archive, I get no encryption.

Thanks,

...Karl

Hey Karl,

The "Encryption" option is not active by default, when you first create a new archive and add files to it. however, once you create an archive and check the option "encrypt add files' (in the "add files" dialog), this option will become the default. it will remain checked when creating new archives or when adding additional files to existing archives.
you can uncheck this option at anytime.

Make sure you use the latest jzip version.
you can download it from www.jzip.com

Write back if you encounter any problems,

but it did not work.

I can see the default to encrypt files get turned on in the dialog, but If I later drop a new file onto a (closed) zip file, it is added without encryption. There was no popup to ask for a password.

Thanks,

...Karl

Hey Karl,

Yes, i see what you mean. i was able to reproduce it.
seems the "encrypt archive" option doesn't work for "closed" archives, using drag and drop.
i'll let the dev guys know about it and work on a fix.

thanks!
