View Full Version : Password can't contain § character
When you encrypt a zip file with a password that contains § character, the archive is closed and nothing is encrypted.
Decrypting a file with a § password seems to work OK though.

Hey Wain,
Thanks for reporting this bug.
i was able to reproduce this on my computer also.
btw, which application did you use to encrypt an archive, before attempting to decrypt it with jzip?
Sorry for the delay of my reply. (didn't set for email notification)
I've used for encrypting just the very old DOS pkzip V2.04g :) .
I.e. I've tested only for Zip 2.0 compatible encryption.
Actually, I started to use jZip, because many programs can encrypt a file, but it seems not compatible with Zip (e.g. TugZip, IZarc).

Thanks wain,
We'll look into it.
I've just started using Jzip myself and have to say what a great product. I have noticed however the same problem as Wain though but with a different charter. It will not allow £ to be used when encrypting.
