Unzipping Files

Hi, I am new to the forum.
I have downloaded Jzip and I am trying to unzip files. I get the file extracted and into the documents folder, but when I try to open the file it comes up a bunch of jibberish.....IE: (9/zzABBBZZJ UUHFGDT HHYFGG), instead of words I can read. What is wrong and can anyone help?

Hi,
When i want to upload a file under project -> files
and then upload a file pdf, jpg, gif, etc page reloads but the uploaded file is not shown
Any idea?
