updated 7-zip library

can you use always latest 7-zip library? maybe autoupdate function that will update 7-zip.dll compiled always from latest sources? would be awesome. right now its somehow sad tha 7-zip is using old library. thank you

We will update it in the next version. The problem with such updates is software stability - we take care and time to test and test and test to make sure the stable release of jZip is indeed stable - plugging out the 7-Zip library and plugging in a new one is a big change and requires testing to make sure nothing is broken.

I would be happy, if jZip would use the library from the latest stable version. But 7-zip 4.57 (stable release) has been out already some time before the jZip 1.2 release.

I think that 7-zip stable would be stable for jzip too and enough... or maybe make that option optional? to use always latest 7-zip library?

We could make an option for that - it is not that the latest library is not stable it is the integrated products jZip + latest library needs be tested for stability.
